...if you like peace and quiet and MOUNTAIN BIKING--which is all that is covered in this post. Yep, that's right, about a million pictures of biking. So, if it's not your thing, I'd recommend closing out this post right about now.
Grandpa and Grandma took off for their own kind of biking.
This little man, our very own Teddy, got pretty wild and crazy not long after this shot was taken. I only wish that cameras had been rolling to document it.
A double jogger kept these ones busy while Aunt Megan and I followed the riders on foot one day. Nora came along in my ever present front pack.
If you are a cute little girl who happens to have a matching purple shirt with your cousin and you are surrounded by a field of wild flowers, well then, hop off your bike and strut your stuff for an out door photo shoot.
Lucas always knows how to strut his stuff. Taking the shirt off wasn't just for show. It was hot and dry.
Checking out the jump park from the top. This place was awesome. Lucas and Ezra had a blast and so did all three dads. Thankfully Ezra has been practicing on the small dirt track at the end of my parents' road for the past year.
Caroline pushed her bike to the top of a jump so that she could roll down the other side. She can't be convinced to remove the training wheels for good. We keep explaining that those are what are holding her back from being able to ride uphill well. She's not buyin' it.
That's my man on his bike behind that beautiful wild flower.
Aunt Megan and her budding photographer.
Lucas is a crazy man on the jumps. He was so good at getting his tires off the ground that his head went out of this shot. Who knew a six year old could jump so high????
These boys were a little aggro and it scared their moms just a whee bit, quite frankly.
Ella was so kind to hand Lucas a water bottle whenever he stopped for a break.
No--he did not drop off that dock, praise the Lord!
Two in the crowd got bored, anyhow.
It's called a dirt track for a reason, folks.
Next stop the "obstacle course" park. Complete with teeter totters and logs to ride on. The kids had fun riding and walking on the course. Lucas, of course, tried out even the skinniest logs.
Jilly describes how the bike teeter totter works.
We really like to bike, can you tell folks?
I promise that we did more than go biking while on vacation...like eating, we did a lot of eating. I'll document that another day.

Wow, your kids are brave with those bikes!! I guess I'm just used to extremely cautious girls :)!! That area looks very pretty and relaxing. Glad you had a good time!
That was so much fun. If it didn't involve packing and plane rides and packing I'd say let go back tomorrow. Miss you guys!
Love this post. Wish I could print it.
I'm ready to go back tomorrow, providing all 9 grands and their folks are there
